A back up no reins.. it’s
about understanding and clear communication.. consisteny is key.. know what you mean and mean what you say with consistency.
It’s not straight but a slight correction is the next step.
And a tip for the next step is .. I won’t be pushing him into position to go straight.. that would be babysitting.. it would create a cue I have to then remove..
he will go straight and I will say “gooood” .. ? How will that happen?
This is what I say to everyone.. ask for a little and you’ll get a lot. I’ll ask for a little, he will go straight.. he can’t go crooked on his first step.
It creates massive gains, instant responses and clear understanding.
💥..
So stop asking for too much if the message isn’t clear you’ll end up with nothing.
So this is how easy training most things become, once you have targets trained it all flows from there. Sure you could run with a bucket of food over a jump and the sheep would probably follow but this is direction not a lure. Star knows she needs to touch the target in order to complete the task. just in time for winter a little woolly Jumper 😆
