At some point we need to think about what we train our horses and why.. a lot of it is circus like and completely pointless like this.. it’s just proving what we can do.

Times are changing, I’ve faced this many years ago at Atlantis Marine Park when the sealions and mini pony no longer wore costumes.

Horses are subjected to some really stupid shit and it’s my goal to be part of the change towards better training and why.

So before you train your Horse something, think about what it is and why.

Going in circles or high stepping circus like behaviour is not really attractive when you break it down and really sit with yourself on the decisions you’re making with your Horse.

I myself struggle with this daily as most of what people ask me to learn is something that has no point other than showing control.

Our goal should be towards simply making life with horses easy, contraption free and brilliant communication.

Think about your Horse and your relationship first. He is in our hands so make it desirable, use what we know to better their lives.
